Learn to cook with style and substance! This four week intensive aims to build confidence in the kitchen. Master basic kitchen skills that will allow you to improvise cheap, healthy, and delicious meals. We'll cover knife skills, proper cooking techniques, flavor balancing, how to shop for food without going bankrupt, and more. The class will focus on vegetarian cooking that is simple and satisfying. We'll prepare and share a meal at the end of each session. The class will meet each week on Tuesdays from 6-9pm.

  • Week 1, January 8: Stocking Your Pantry and Navigating Nutrition
  • Week 2, January 15: Cooking Vegetables Properly
  • Week 3, January 22: Salads and Soups
  • Week 4, January 29: Beans and Grains

This class is for you if:

  • you are a complete disaster in the kitchen
  • the idea of cooking without a recipe stresses you out
  • you would like to eat less meat and/or incorporate more vegetables into your diet
