Learn practical techniques for overcoming the challenges of gardening during the heat of the summer in South Florida. Farmer Michael will discuss what sets our region apart, what crops do well in the summer, and how to cover crop your regular-season garden. Additionally, he'll guide you through the process of seeding several summer crops and building a sub-irrigated planter for container gardening.
This workshop includes a delicious lunch cooked from Ground Floor Farm veggies.
Each participant will take home a tray of summer crop seeds, as well as a sub-irrigated planter (valued at $20).
