Learn to cook with style and substance! This five week intensive aims to build confidence in the kitchen. Master basic kitchen skills that will allow you to improvise cheap, healthy, and delicious meals. We'll cover knife skills, proper cooking techniques, flavor balancing, how to shop for food without going bankrupt, and more. The class will focus on vegetarian cooking that is simple and satisfying. We'll share a meal at the end of each session, which will go from 6-8pm.
Week 1, July 11: Stocking Your Pantry and Navigating Nutrition Week 2, July 18: Cooking Vegetables Properly Week 3, July 25: Salads and Soups Week 4, August 1: Beans and Grains Week 5, August 8: Healthy Snacks
This class is for you if: -you are a complete disaster in the kitchen -the idea of cooking without a recipe stresses you out -you would like to eat less meat and/or incorporate more vegetables into your diet
